Nousbo Co., Ltd. has recently signed a significant contract to supply the popular ‘Dr. Joe’ bubble-type home gardening fertilizer to the largest distribution center in the United States.<\/p>\n

The products supplied to the US distribution center include two distinct types, with an initial contract for 180,000 units. With deliveries scheduled for the end of this year and early 2024, sales are poised to kick off in the first half of 2024 across distribution centers throughout the United States. According to global market research company Euromonitor, the US gardening market is anticipated to be a substantial $49.3 billion industry in 2023.<\/p>\n

The bubble-type plant fertilizer being exported to US is a solid form of plant nutrients, utilizing Nousbo’s patented fertilizer manufacturing technology. It is easily storable and dissolves rapidly in water, similar to effervescent vitamins, ensuring convenient and effective use without the need for weighting.<\/p>\n

In 2022, Nousbo recorded exports of KRW 13.2 billion out of a total of KRW 70.6 billion, reflecting a 29% growth compared to the previous year. This growth positions Nousbo as a significant player in the domestic fertilizer industry, particularly in overseas exports. Building export competitiveness in home gardening products, represented by ‘Dr. Joe’ and the export of controlled release fertilizers (CRF) applying Nousbo’s patented technology, the company has achieved milestones such as being selected for Good Design (2022) and representing South Korea’s leading brand ‘K’ (2021~) in the fertilizer industry.<\/p>\n

In addition to earlier exports to Japan, the most developed home gardening market in Asia, Nousbo’s recent export to the USA further validates the high product quality of its home gardening products\u2019 line.<\/p>\n

A Nousbo official stated, “After six months of discussions on product types and designs, we have finalized the delivery decision. The quantity to be supplied this time is a volume exported to more than 4,000 distribution centers in the United States, exceeding the annual sales volume of related ‘Dr. Joe’ products in South Korea. Currently, we are in discussions for deliveries to the largest home interior distribution center in the United States, which owns over 2,300 stores outside of this distribution center. We expect exports to increase further in 2024. Dr. Joe, initially planned as a product targeting overseas, has evolved into a brand leading the overseas home gardening market through a circular structure of reintroducing products that have resonated domestically back to the international market. We will continue to strive to grow as a brand leading the international home gardening market beyond South Korea.”<\/p>\n
