Research Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(Summary of the study of Nousbo Fertilizer 17-7-11 effect on Turf Grass clipping yields in Philippines)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ultra Turf Green (17-7-11) is a type of NPK slow release fertilizer that contains the macro and micronutrients required for plant growth and development, including MU-type Urea. This fertilizer offers the advantage of reducing labor costs since it only requires a single application. It also provides a more even supply of nitrogen while reducing nitrogen leaching. The study of the effect of Ultra Turf Green (17-7-11) Nousbo fertilizer on the clipping yields of turf grass was conducted in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, from September 2019 to December 2019.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nousbo.com\/en\/files\/attach\/images\/58290\/742\/061\/c8cee2169e4c0e5512ea07fe95a4350a.jpg\" alt=\"Golf Course in Philippines.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">(Golf Course in Philippines)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the start of field experiment, soil sample was collected and brought in the soil laboratory for the analysis of N P. The analysis of soil sample showed low nitrogen, high phosphorus and deficient potassium. Ultra Turf Green (17-7-11) fertilizer was applied one time at various rates from 0.5 to 2 of the Recommended Rate (RR) (15, 22.5, 30 (RR), 45 and 60 g\/m<sup>2<\/sup>) and the treatments were evaluated to determine the efficacy on the yield of turf grass clippings. The inorganic fertilizer was applied in two split applications at basal and next application was after 15 days. Conventional fertilizer sources were complete fertilizer 14-14-14 (around 14 bags) and Urea 46-0-0 (around 2 bags). Clipping yields were gathered for eight harvesting periods (greens) in g\/m2 then the average yield was calculated. Results are summarized in the following table.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Weight of clippings of turf grass as affected by different rates of Ultra Turf Green (17-7-11) fertilizer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nousbo.com\/en\/files\/attach\/images\/58290\/742\/061\/aa563e4a94d5b77dbe1fe339ed236305.jpg\" alt=\"Weight of clippings of turf grass as affected by different rates of Ultra Turf Green (17-7-11) fertilizer.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Results showed that statistically significant effect on the clipping yields of turf grass was observed with the application of various rates of Ultra Turf Green (17-7-11) Fertilizer. The heaviest weight of clippings collected from turf grass from first to eight harvesting periods was produced from the application of 2\u0445 recommended rate (2RR) of Ultra Turf Green (17-7-11) Fertilizer at the rate of 60 g\/m<sup>2<\/sup>. This result is comparable to the application of 1.5 RR Ultra Turf Green (17-7-11) Fertilizer during the second, third, six and eight observation periods with the rate of 45 g\/m<sup>2<\/sup>. These two rates of Ultra Turf Green (17-7-11) fertilizer performed best on the clipping yields of turf grass and were significantly more effective compared to the application of conventional fertilizer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nousbo.com\/en\/files\/attach\/images\/58290\/742\/061\/6a33f2343da58f0b3d728de2a9865769.jpg\" alt=\"Representative clippings of different treatments (RR &amp;ndash, Recommended Rate).jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">(Representative clippings of different treatments (RR \u2013 Recommended Rate))<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Findings of the study revealed that the application of Ultra Turf Green (17-7-11) Nousbo Fertilizer increases the clipping yields of turf grass. Therefore, in order to produce the heaviest yield of turf grass clippings, application of Ultra Turf Green (17-7-11) fertilizer at the rates of 45-60 g\/m<sup>2<\/sup>\u00a0is recommended. It can be applied once and the effect lasts for three (3) months. Smaller dosage is needed compared to dosage use in conventional fertilizer broadcasting method. It is safe and comprehensive to use.
