Participating as a promising climate tech company in the ‘2026 Carbon Neutral EXPO (Busan, South Korea)’ held at BEXCO from September 16 to 18.
Promoting the excellence and eco-friendliness of its biodegradable coated fertilizers, and preparing to expand into domestic and global climate tech markets.

Global green bio company Nousbo Co., Ltd. announced its participation in the ‘2026 Carbon Neutral EXPO (Busan, South Korea)’, Korea’s premier carbon-neutral technology exhibition, qualified as a ‘2026 Promising Climate Tech Company’ selected by Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.
Participating in the EXPO held at BEXCO, Busan, from September 16 to 18, Nousbo plans to showcase ‘HI-COTE’, a biodegradable Controlled Release Fertilizer (CRF) that represents one of its core climate technologies. Moving beyond merely introducing eco-friendly fertilizer products, the company intends to highlight HI-COTE’s technological competitiveness from the perspective of ‘climate tech in agriculture’—focusing on reducing nitrogen loss and greenhouse gas emissions generated during the agricultural production process.
Nousbo’s biodegradable coated fertilizer has proven its biodegradability under composting conditions. In paddy field demonstrations, it achieved a 36.4% reduction in total greenhouse gas emissions, which notably included a 53.9% decrease in N₂O emissions. Nitrogen loss from standard nitrogen fertilizers not only degrades agricultural productivity but also directly contributes to greenhouse gas emissions. By utilizing CRF to supply crops with the exact amount of nutrients they need precisely when they need them, Nousbo aims to enhance fertilizer use efficiency, ultimately achieving simultaneous reductions in nitrogen loss and greenhouse gas emissions.
An official from Nousbo stated, “It is highly meaningful to participate in the Carbon Neutral EXPO under the qualification of a promising climate tech company selected by Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Through this exhibition, we plan to actively demonstrate that agriculture can serve as an important pillar of the carbon-neutral industry, and that Nousbo’s CRF technology can drive practical carbon reduction in agricultural fields.” They added, “Specifically, our biodegradable coated fertilizer is a next-generation agricultural technology that advances beyond existing CRF technology—which merely improves efficiency—by actively considering the soil environment and carbon neutrality. We will continue our domestic and international demonstrations and technological advancements to strengthen our competitiveness in the global climate tech market.”
