Nousbo Co., Ltd. has set out to target the Japanese market by showcasing its biodegradable coated fertilizers at “J-AGRI 2026,” a comprehensive agricultural exhibition held in Tokyo, Japan.
Nousbo participated in J-AGRI, held in Tokyo from October 7 to 9, where it presented its Controlled Release Fertilizer (CRF) and biodegradable coating fertilizer technologies. Notably, the biodegradable coated fertilizer—designed to address the environmental limitations of conventional coated fertilizers—drew significant attention from local industry professionals.
This keen interest stems from Nousbo’s proactive preparation for entering the Japanese market. In June, Nousbo preemptively completed the local fertilizer registration for two products under its biodegradable coated urea brand, “HI-COTE ECO+.” This achievement laid the foundation for discussing product applications and supply agreements tailored to local demand. Because official registration is a critical prerequisite for prospective buyers evaluating adoption, Nousbo plans to leverage the momentum from the exhibition to advance discussions on application conditions, local cultivation environments, and commercial field trials.
“Through J-AGRI, we confirmed the strong local interest and business potential for biodegradable coated fertilizers in Japan,” an official from Nousbo stated. “Leveraging our established export track record to Japan and our newly registered products, we will gradually expand application tests in real growing environments and advance supply agreements.” The official added, “Biodegradable coated fertilizer is a flagship product line bridging Nousbo’s coating technology with environmental sustainability. We will continue strengthening our competitiveness to meet the demand for eco-friendly agriculture globally, translating technological advancements into tangible export growth and business performance.”
Nousbo’s ‘Hi-COTE ECO+’ (100% Biodegradable Controlled-Release Fertilizer) was officially designated as Korea’s first ‘High-Quality Fertilizer’ in 2025, and has already been exported or contracted for export to Vietnam and Ukraine.
