How the release works: HI-COTE uses a Sigmoid (S-Curve) release mechanism that suppresses early nitrogen output, peaks during rapid growth, and tapers as the crop approaches maturity — matching plant demand without manual intervention. The polymer capsule dissolves through soil moisture absorption, not direct contact.

How to Use HI-COTE in Nursery Production

100-day for short-cycle annuals and propagation liners. 180–270-day for container woody ornamentals. 360-day for long-term nursery stock held over season.

Incorporate into Potting Mix or Apply at Transplant
Blend uniformly into growing media at the mixing stage, or apply as a top-dress or dibble at transplanting. The mini granule (1.2–2.4mm) is ideal for fine-media incorporation.

Water-In to Activate
Normal irrigation activates moisture-driven release. No special activation steps required. The polymer shell begins diffusing nutrients as substrate moisture and temperature rise with plant establishment.

Supplement with Top-Dress if Needed
For extended production windows or late-stage color, HI-COTE Green can be applied as a fast-acting top-dress supplement — no need to restart the base fertilizer program.
