Net-Zero Emissions.
Zero Microplastics.
in crop nutrition.
Nousbo is redefining the role of fertilizer in the global food system — transforming crop nutrition into a measurable climate solution. Our EcoRelease Tech addresses two of agriculture's most critical environmental challenges simultaneously: greenhouse gas emissions and microplastic contamination of soil.
The Problem We Solve
Agriculture accounts for up to 12% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Conventional fertilizers are a primary driver — releasing Nitrous Oxide (N₂O), a greenhouse gas 273× more potent than CO₂, directly into farmland soils. At the same time, standard polymer-coated fertilizers leave persistent microplastic residues that accumulate in soil and waterways for decades.
The industry has lacked a single solution that addresses both. Until now.
Greenhouse Gas Emissions
N₂O released from conventional fertilizers is 273× more potent than CO₂ as a greenhouse gas, making fertilizer use a critical lever in agricultural decarbonization.
Microplastic Contamination
Standard polymer-coated slow-release fertilizers leave persistent plastic shells in soil and waterways for decades, causing long-term ecological damage.
EcoRelease Tech
Precision Nutrition. Zero Residue. Net-Zero Emissions.
Nousbo's proprietary EcoRelease Tech (CRF, Controlled Release Fertilizer) combines Sigmoid-type and Linear release mechanisms to deliver customized nutrition precisely when and where crops need it — for up to 360 days. The result is a dramatic reduction in total fertilizer input and the nitrogen waste that drives N₂O emissions.
The biodegradable resin coating dissolves fully into soil, leaving zero toxic residue. Certified as Korea's No.1 High-Quality Fertilizer (Hi-Cote) and designed for EU FPR 2024/2770, which mandates biodegradable coatings across the EU from 2028, our technology is ahead of global regulatory requirements.
Impact at Scale
Field-verified results across multiple climates and crop types.
From Emission Reduction to Carbon Credits
Nousbo is developing a proprietary digital MRV (Measurement, Reporting, Verification) platform to quantify and verify field-level emission reductions — with KCS (Korea Credit System) methodology registration targeted for 2026 and commercial VCM credit issuance planned for 2027.
Once operational, this platform will deliver a turnkey solution for global food enterprises and agri-supply chains — transparently linking fertilizer use to verified carbon outcomes.
Directly link your supply chain fertilizer use to verified, tradeable carbon credits. We are actively seeking global partners to co-develop and co-commercialize this platform.
